The felt balls for this trivet are firmly connected and have a diameter of approx. 2.2-2.4 cm. They are permanently attached and are two-ply stitched to withstand the toughest demands.
The felt is soft and protects the surface of your furniture from scratches but also from hot and cold items.

The balls come from from a social cooperative in Nepal, and the felt panels are made in Germany.
All colours are environmentally friendly.

Why wool felt and not synthetic plastic felt
Wool felt was developed thousands of years ago and has still not gone out of fashion.
Wool felt is made from wool, a renewable raw material.
Wool felt provides excellent Insulation against heat (up to approx. 320°C) and cold. It doesn't melt, even if you place a very hot pot onto it.
Wool felt is a natural product and cannot be compared with the frequently offered "felt" made from plastic fibre. Our felt is 100% wool felt without the cost-cutting or unfortunate ‘quality-cutting’ polyester and polyamide mixes.
