What is a tyre pressure control system
RDKS will be compulsory for Europe from 01.11.2014. You can distinguish between the directly measuring and indirectly measuring system. A sensor as offered here is therefore obligatory for the directly measuring systems. The vehicle is equipped by the manufacturer with the appropriate sensors in the summer or even in the winter wheels.
There are two variants here:
You upgrade the original rims with the sensors for summer and winter tyres every season. Rim and sensor stay the same and can be used in any season. The disadvantage of this is the high cost of the conversion 2 times a year as well as excessive wear and tear and the possibility of damage to wheels, tyres and sensors.
With a second set of complete wheels, you also need a second set of sensors, these can be programmed with new ID's or even with the same IDs as the first set. When copying, i.e. the use of the same ID, the sensors is possible to use without changes or additional learning on the vehicle.
The sensor is specially programmed for your vehicle after purchase, please always pay attention to the details in your vehicle registration certificate and vehicle documents.
Attention: for steel rims we recommend a sensor with snap-in rubber valve
