Description

The Filter set is only compatible with GoPro Hero 4 and 3+. They are ultra lightweight and perfect for production and aerial filming.

(1) ND2 Filter, (1) ND4 Filter, (1) ND8 Filter

The ND filters are used to decrease the amount of light coming into the sensor through the lens), without affecting the color of the image. This is ideal when you want to use lower shutter speeds in bright light, for example to avoid a washed out image of the sky.

There is a good rule for shooting a well balanced video with a natural motion blur. It is to aim for a shutter speed that is twice your frame rate. If the light level is 4 stops over (+4EV), you should install an ND16 to get the correct exposure. If the light level is 3 stops over (+3EV), you should use the ND8 filter, etc. If you can't calculate or measure the EV value, try all 4 filters to test which filter gives the best result.

ND8 (3-stop) and ND16(4-stop) filters can be used to better separate subjects from the background by allowing wider apertures, effectively decreasing depth of field. They are typically used on cloudy to partly cloud days for smooth cinematic video and great for portraiture and outdoor scenes.

(1) UV Filter

The UV filter not only keeps your GoPro camera lens away from scratches
