ABOUT OCUSHIELD
Ocushield is a British company on a mission to improve the world's eye health in the digital age. Founded by practising Optometrist Dhruvin Patel, all of our products are backed by years of research, expert opinion and product development.

The result is a range of super-strong screen protectors which block up to 90% of the most harmful UV and blue light rays which are emitted from digital devices. Not only that, they're the first and only screen protectors in the world to receive a medical rating, so you can sleep easy knowing that your eyes and wellbeing are in safe hands.

WHAT'S BLUE LIGHT
Blue light is a high-energy range in the visible light spectrum which penetrates your retinas, sending signals to your brain that you should be awake and seizing the day. It's naturally present in sunlight. However, it's particularly focused on the digital devices we use every day - smartphones, tablets and computers.

Over-exposure to blue light causes hyper-alertness which results in fatigue, eye strain and disrupted sleep. This can have a severe impact on your energy levels, mood and productivity during the day. Moreover, while blue light exposure is bad for adults, it's even worse for kids.

OCUSHIELD FOR CHILDREN & TEENAGERS
Children are especially at risk from the harmful effects of blue light due to their underdeveloped eyes. Where adult eyes are able to absorb degrees of blue light (though not much), children’s & teenagers’ lenses are still developing the necessary protection to do so.

With screen time becoming more and more common amongst kids of all ages, it’s important that we protect their developing eyes against the dangers of blue light.
