Please note that the SONY product warranty will, of course, be lost once the controller is disassembled. The controller housing is fitted together with plastic hooks as well as screws. With the PAXO special tool set and the detailled instruction manual incl. pictures the battery can be exchanged in about 30 minutes, with some slight of hand. Please be aware that this PAXO PS4 battery is not compatible with the latest PS4 controller generation, since Sony has changed the connector shape (see pictures). Please choose PAXO battery version V4 if you have latest controller version with lightbar on top.
