Q: Will this work on the hopper through dish network Do you have to plug it into power
A: As long as there's an HDMI out on that hopper box you should be good...you definitely have to plug it into an outlet, and NOT a USB port in your TV (I tried...not enough juice)
Q: When using at home, does the USB have to be plugged on the wall at the same time
A: The splitter needs a power source, which is provided through the USB port. The power source does not have to be from a wall outlet. You can plug it in to a USB port on your electronic device, such as a computer or TV. The splitter doesn't need too much power, but ensure that your device can provide the needed power for the splitter.
Q: Why do I get video on both but only sound on one tv
A: Make sure that you have the cables plugged in securely, that the volume on other TV is on and not muted. It's possible that one of your HDMI cables is bad or possibly the splitter unit is defective. Try swapping the working cable to the TV with no sound or a different cable.
