Hawker Hurricane Survivors
by Grub Street
The metal tubular fuselage structure of the Hawker Hurricane made it one of the most resilient fighters of the Second World War but also limited its performance, and by 1944 it was being replaced. Forty years later just a handful of the 14, 500 that were built remained, but collectors, enthusiasts and museums have recovered and renovated Hurricanes over the past few decades. This volume profiles more than 60 surviving examples, telling their stories from the factory to the present day.
