Satsuma is located in the Southern part of Kagoshima which is frequented by warm currents all year around and blessed with thousands of tons of rich spring water even in the dry season from a river called the river of the gods. In addition to this, the brewery produces all its shochus in a traditional style pot still called a beetle. Shiranami is the name of an old brewery in the region which started the trend of making shochu in Chinese pots, a process which is celebrated with this product.
