Gustare Manuka Jelly Bush honey is harvested from the flora of the leptospermum polygalifolium plant species (popularly known as Jelly Bush), native to the Australian states of New South Wales and Queensland and similar to the leptospermum scoparium plant species, from which New Zealand's Manuka honey derives. This Manuka Jelly Bush honey has been independently tested in laboratories in Australia which have certified a NPA (Non-Peroxide Activity rating of 5+ and MGO (methylglyoxal) rating of 83+. Unlike most varieties of Manuka honey, Gustare Manuka Jelly Bush honey has a luxurious sweet taste. There is no medicinal flavour which enables it to be used as a sweet addition to other foods.
