Cantine Pellegrino
Cantine Pellegrino is one of Sicilys most important and prosperous wineries. Today they are one of very few families who can trace their lineage back to the original 19th Century founders of the Marsala trade.
Pellegrino have also utilised their winemaking expertise in producing unfortified white and red wines from the Marsala region. The family has always recognised the importance and uniqueness of the regions terroir and their indigenous Sicilian grape varieties.
In 2010 Pellegrino started a new project of exhaustively researching and experimenting with their 150 Ha of vineyard. The result of this was the family estates range, launched in 2014. 4 different estates, each with their own grape varietal.
Salinaro vineyard by the sea 14 ha of vineyard metres from the sea with a climate suited to producing a fresh and aromatic white made from Grillo.
Fine scents of citrus fruits blend with strong floral notes of jasmine and orange blossoms. On the palate, this wine is fresh and balanced, with notes of grapefruit, citron and lemon
